Katya Santos has clarified that there are no immediate plans for a reunion of the iconic girl group Viva Hot Babes, despite renewed calls from fans following the recent successful comeback concerts of the SexBomb Girls.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Santos addressed fans who have been hoping for a Viva Hot Babes reunion, stressing that while the idea is appreciated, it is not feasible at this time.
“NO REUNION FOR US. A heartfelt gratitude to all our beloved fans who are consistently hoping for a VIVA HOTBABES REUNION. Unfortunately, we all have our own different paths to prioritize right now. We love the idea but it may not happen anytime soon,” Santos wrote.
Speculation about a possible reunion surfaced after the SexBomb Girls staged a series of well-received comeback concerts, prompting fans to wonder if Viva Hot Babes would follow suit. Santos, however, firmly dismissed the rumors.
She went on to reflect on the group’s place in Philippine pop culture, emphasizing that Viva Hot Babes represented a distinct moment and identity during their peak.
“Viva Hotbabes holds a place in Philippine pop culture that we’re deeply grateful for. Not because of hype or comparison, but because we were part of a time that celebrated confidence, individuality, and fearless self-expression,” she said.
Addressing long-standing comparisons with the SexBomb Girls, Santos underscored that there was never a rivalry between the two groups.
“The SexBomb Girls are legendary in their own right. Their recent concert success is a beautiful reminder of how much they are loved, and we sincerely congratulate them on that milestone,” she wrote.
“Different styles. Different strengths. Same era. That’s not rivalry—that’s coexistence, contribution, and shared history.”
Santos also responded to critics and supporters alike, saying the group has nothing left to prove.
“We respect that everyone has opinions. Ours is simple—we’re proud of the work we did and grateful that it still resonates with people today,” she said. “Some stories don’t need competition; they simply live on in memory.”
The Viva Hot Babes were formed in 2003 under Viva Entertainment and became widely known for their bold image and hit song ‘Bulaklak.’ Original members include Maui Taylor, Andrea del Rosario, Jen Rosendahl, Sheree, Gwen Garci, Myles Hernandez, Kristine Jaca, Hazel Cabrera, and others.
