Randy “Adam” Lawyer has strongly denied the abuse allegations made against him by his wife, former beauty queen and actress Melanie Marquez.

On Tuesday’s episode of ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, host Boy Abunda read a statement sent by Lawyer’s legal counsel in response to Marquez’s recent interview on the same program, where she accused her husband of physical and emotional abuse.
According to the statement, Lawyer categorically rejected all accusations, calling them fabricated and without factual basis. His legal team claimed that Marquez has a “notorious history” of making allegations of abuse against him, all of which were previously investigated and dismissed by the proper authorities.
The lawyers further stated that the case Marquez referenced in her interview—allegedly filed against Lawyer—was dismissed by the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati and did not progress to court.
“This latest stunt is nothing short of malicious harassment, designed to inflict severe reputational damage, emotional distress, and professional harm on our client,” the statement read.
Lawyer’s camp added that he intends to address Marquez’s accusations before the Bureau of Immigration, which they identified as the proper forum, particularly in relation to her request to cancel his visa and have him blacklisted from returning to the Philippines.
Marquez, who appeared on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on Monday, said she is seeking the cancellation of her husband’s visa and his inclusion on the immigration blacklist, citing alleged abuse and claiming the move was necessary for her protection and that of others.
Randy Lawyer and Melanie Marquez were married in 2000 and have two children together. As of this writing, the matter remains unresolved, with both parties maintaining opposing claims.
