The documentary “Eraserheads: Combo on the Run” will launch a special series of advance screening events across North America, paired with a live concert by Ely Buendia, frontman of the iconic Filipino rock band Eraserheads.

Presented as a film-and-concert experience, the events will take place in four cities ahead of the documentary’s wider theatrical release on April 24. Each stop will feature an advance screening of the film followed by “Ely Buendia Live in Concert,” giving audiences a rare opportunity to experience both the story and the music behind one of the Philippines’ most influential bands.
The North American premiere tour is hosted and produced by Élevé Entertainment, in partnership with Charles Victor Entertainment and East 45th Productions.
The advance screenings are scheduled in the following cities:
• April 8 – TCL Chinese Theatre – Los Angeles
• April 10 – Rio Theatre – Vancouver
• April 13 – Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema – Toronto
• April 19 – AMC Empire 25 – New York
Produced by DVent Films and directed by Maria Diane Ventura, “Eraserheads: Combo on the Run” chronicles the band’s rise from college students in 1989 to becoming a defining force in Original Pilipino Music.
Formed in Quezon City by Buendia together with Marcus Adoro, Buddy Zabala, and Raimund Marasigan, the band would go on to earn the moniker “The Beatles of the Philippines,” shaping the sound of a generation and influencing countless artists.
The documentary features candid interviews, rare archival footage, and behind-the-scenes material, exploring the band’s creative breakthroughs, internal tensions, and eventual reunions, while placing their music within the broader social and cultural landscape of the Philippines following the EDSA People Power Revolution.
Following the advance screening tour, the film will open in multiple markets across the United States and Canada on April 24, distributed by Abramorama.
With the combination of documentary storytelling and a live performance from Ely Buendia, the North American events aim to celebrate the enduring music and legacy of the Eraserheads for audiences abroad.
