Plume reflects on falling out of love in his new single, ‘Diskoberi’

AltG Records’ rising singer-songwriter Plume takes on an angsty journey of letting go with his new single entitled “Diskoberi.”

“Diskoberi” is a heavy rock song that explores the anguish and misery of realizing the relationship is slowly falling apart. The song uncovers the anticipatory grief of the relationship ending and the moment someone accepts that the love is no longer there between them.

Written by Plume himself, this single is produced by Caleb Hinanay and arranged and mastered by David Generato.

When asked about Plume’s process in creating the title of the song, he shared, “When I sent the song to my producer, it still didn’t have a title. But my producer was also the one who suggested it to be ‘Diskoberi’ but in Filipino writing.”

The creative process of Plume in writing and composing “Diskoberi” was a tedious journey because, for him, it’s the saddest and most heartbreaking song he has written. “Usually, I write songs from the perspective of when the relationship is already over. But for this one, I came up with the concept of exploring the process of the breakup,” he said.

The singer-songwriter also shared, “Since the song still didn’t have a title when I started writing it, I wrote the opening line of the song, ‘Ngayon alam ko nang hindi ako ang sumasalamin sa iyong mga mata’ as the foundation and core of the song.”

The message Plume wants to leave the listeners of “Diskoberi” is, “If you are in the same situation as the person I made this song for, better let go of the relationship than to keep holding on to it.”

“Diskoberi” by Plume is now available on major streaming platforms worldwide. For more information on your favorite Kapuso singers, visit www.gmanetwork.com.
