The Filinvest City Event Grounds in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, pulsated with the raw energy of rock as the Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban 2026 brought together the nation’s most promising bands on March 14, 2026.
Crowds of music enthusiasts and loyal rock fans gathered for a night of electrifying performances, cheering for emerging artists and legendary acts alike, all eager to witness the crowning of the next great Filipino band in this highly anticipated national competition.

From the opening chords, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. Each band brought its own flavor of rock, from blistering guitar riffs to thunderous drum patterns, keeping the audience on their feet. The competition showcased not only technical skill but also the heart and personality that define the Filipino rock scene. The energy of the crowd was as much a part of the performance as the music itself, with cheers, chants, and synchronized claps creating a living, breathing backdrop to the bands’ sets.

Emerging as the standout of the night, TAMAD SI JUAN from Davao City delivered a performance that balanced melodic hooks with high-octane energy. Drummer Marc Lois Vistal described the win as surreal: “Para kaming tinapunan ng maraming rosas. Despite the struggles and the challenges, somehow, we deserve this.” Frontman Reg Twostone commanded the stage with electrifying vocals, while Kram Noiz’s lead guitar solos and Shed Jabinez’s rhythm guitar intertwined seamlessly with Jepax Jaso’s driving basslines. Their chemistry translated into a captivating set that ultimately earned them the 2025 Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban Grand Champion title and a cash prize of Php 1 million.

The competition was tight, with VDS from Quezon City, BAGUIO GOLD MUSIC from Baguio City, HILO from Cabuyao, Laguna, and THEMATA from Tacloban City each delivering performances filled with technical prowess and stage presence. Every band represented its hometown with pride, creating a showcase that highlighted the depth and diversity of Filipino rock music.
Adding to the night’s intensity, veteran acts including Greyhoundz, Wilabaliw, Urbandub, Kjwan, Razorback, Typecast, Chocolate Factory, Setsuna, and past Muziklaban champion Mayonnaise delivered performances that bridged the past and present of the local rock scene. The legendary artists’ presence reminded everyone of the enduring legacy of Filipino rock and the role Muziklaban plays in nurturing its next generation.

Fans were also part of the night’s story through the Rakista People’s Choice Award, where BAGUIO GOLD MUSIC captured the hearts of the audience and took home both a trophy and cases of Red Horse Beer. The combination of competitive spirit, audience interaction, and high-energy performances created an unforgettable experience, making the event feel as much like a community celebration as a battle of bands.

As the final chords rang out and the last applause echoed across the grounds, the event underscored why the Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban remains a cornerstone of the Filipino music scene.
