Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Javi Benitez said he believes former girlfriend Sue Ramirez and her current boyfriend Dominic Roque may already be each other’s “endgame.”

Benitez made the statement during an interview with entertainment media MMPress, where he was asked about Sue’s recent comments about wanting to build a family with Dominic.
“I’m very happy for her, wala akong masasabing masama about her and I still believe that she’s one of the most accomplished yet underrated actresses of her time. Very happy for her, feeling ko sila na magiging end na,” the congressman said with a smile.
He also shared why he believes the couple has a strong future together.
“Well, both of them want to get married and have kids. Nagsabi naman siya saka bagay sila, happy ako para sa kanila.”
Benitez and Ramirez were together for five years before ending their relationship in 2024.
Reflecting on their breakup, the young lawmaker said: “Nag-usap kami and we both decided that we go our separate ways. ‘Yun longest relationship ko.”
When asked about his own love life, Benitez remained reserved and said he is currently focused on work and personal growth.
“Happy ako sa ginagawa ko. I am low-key baka in the future masabi ko. Self-happiness.”
He added that balancing relationships with his responsibilities in Congress has not been easy.
“Mahirap isabay with work especially since start ng Congress. Need mag-focus. I’m also taking further studies. Unlike when I was mayor also, doon lang ako. Ngayon, kailangan ko ngayon Manila and there,” he explained.
During the interview, Benitez also briefly addressed the controversy involving his father, Albee Benitez, whose name was previously linked to actress Ivana Alawi. Alawi has denied the rumors.
“Hindi madali kahit sinong pamilya dumaan sa ganoon. As much as possible gusto namin gawin private. Very close ako sa mom ko. Siyempre andoon ako for her. Mga pinagdadaanan niya andoon ako. Nanay ko very private biglang naging public figure,” Javi shared.
He also clarified that he remains in communication with his father despite the issues surrounding their family.
“Nakikita ko siya sa congress. ‘Yung personal private matters, we will keep it private. Nag-uusap kami minsan, minsan di siya nagre-reply, baka busy. Okay kami.”

Prior to the interview, Benitez also met with entertainment media to reaffirm his commitment to Filipino creatives and the local entertainment industry. As chairman for the creative industries, he highlighted efforts to push for the proposed FDCP Act of 2026, which aims to strengthen incentives and protections for Philippine cinema after 24 years without major policy updates.
As a proud Negrense, he also expressed excitement over the upcoming ‘ASAP XP’ show in Negros this June, which he described as another step in positioning the province as a growing entertainment hub outside Metro Manila.
