Hot off the heels of Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins and Almost Us, Regal Entertainment continues its hot streak of high-quality films with the upcoming release of Project Baby, which debuted its official trailer last May 10, 2026.
Project Baby, directed by Eric Quizon based on yet another classic-in-the-making script from Joey Javier Reyes, tells the relatable story of Sandy (Sue Ramirez), a powerful thirty-something founder of an advertising agency. All her life, through meticulous planning and hard work, she’s worked for what she has. But there’s one thing she still feels is missing: a child of her own, and she thinks that her time is running out. She’s determined to have a baby, and she wants to do it her way. On her birthday, she launches Project Baby – her step-by-step plan to have a child.
But there’s one problem: the father. Sandy needs a baby daddy! But just a baby daddy. No love, no commitment, just the plan. She searches high and wide for the perfect candidate, and all fall short until she meets Migo (Rico Blanco) – an artist deeply in touch with his own feelings who proves to be the perfect match! Though reluctant, Migo agrees to Sandy’s plan. Things go well at first, but does Sandy have a plan B when feelings don’t follow the rules?
Fresh out of the roaring success of the JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith-led Almost Us, Regal serves a follow up that speaks to those that feel like they’re running out of time to have their own children. Those that chose their career and responsibilities all their life but woke up one day realizing that they’re looking for something more. Project Baby is here to remind you: you can still take matters into your own hands.
But no matter how much you want and plan for something, things can change when feelings get involved. What happens when the perfect man isn’t part of your plan?
As of writing, the release of the trailer has already garnered a total of 6.5 Million total views across all social media platforms, with audiences praising the surprising chemistry of Sue and Rico, and with countless others commenting and sharing their stories that align with Sandy’s. Many deeply resonate with Sandy’s desire to have a child without having to go through the hoops of commitment.
Project Baby is a story about a woman who has an outrageous plan that doesn’t seem so crazy when you get to know her. Find out more about Sandy when the film hits cinemas nationwide this June 10, 2026!
