Former ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Bianca De Vera found herself trending online after missing a jackpot question during the ‘Laro Laro Pick’ segment of ‘It’s Showtime’ on Wednesday, June 10.
De Vera joined fellow former celebrity housemates and cast members of ‘The Secret of Hotel 88’, the collaboration project between ABS-CBN, GMA Network, and Star Creatives, in the popular noontime game segment.
The actress eventually advanced to the jackpot round, where host Vice Ganda asked her a question connected to the origins of the Big Brother franchise.
“Saang bansa matatagpuan ang kauna-unahang ‘Big Brother’?” Vice asked.
To help the contestant, Vice provided a clue, saying that the answer could be found in the same country where the headquarters of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is located.
However, instead of answering The Netherlands, De Vera guessed “United States of America” before later mentioning “United Kingdom,” ultimately missing the correct answer and the P100,000 jackpot prize.
The moment quickly circulated on social media, with netizens sharing mixed reactions.
Some viewers poked fun at the actress for missing the answer despite the clue, while others came to her defense, arguing that not everyone is expected to be familiar with international political institutions or current events.
“May hint na nga eh, halatang wala alam sa politics. Pero ang ganda mo pa rin,” one netizen commented.
Others pointed out that the ICC has been a widely discussed topic in the Philippines in recent months, making the clue relatively recognizable for those who closely follow national news.
Meanwhile, several social media users defended De Vera from the criticism.
“Kung walang clue mahirap naman talaga. Marami kasi dito mga feeling matalino,” one commenter wrote.

Bianca has yet to issue any statement regarding the viral moment.
Aside from De Vera, fellow former ‘PBB Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Vince Maristela also became a talking point online after incorrectly answering a question about the longtime host of the iconic drama anthology ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’.
Instead of naming Charo Santos-Concio, Maristela answered Cory Vidanes, drawing laughter from Vice Ganda, the other hosts, and the studio audience.
