Actor Jake Cuenca may currently be in the United Kingdom, but distance has not stopped him from expressing his admiration for girlfriend Rabiya Mateo.
The celebrity couple recently delighted fans after their playful exchange on Instagram went viral, proving that their romance remains strong despite being miles apart.
Rabiya, who is currently in the Philippines, shared a series of photos from a motorcade event in Morong, Rizal for a brand she endorses. Dressed in a bright yellow tank top and white skirt, the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 titleholder drew praise from fans who flooded the comments section with compliments.
Among those captivated by the photos was Jake himself.
The actor, who is currently in Europe, left a comment that quickly caught the attention of netizens.
“I was busy admiring the scenery here in the UK… until you posted this. Now it’s hard to focus,” Jake wrote, accompanied by a sweating-face emoji and a fire emoji.
His sweet remark immediately earned reactions from fans, many of whom expressed kilig over the couple’s interaction.
Not one to let the compliment pass without a witty comeback, Rabiya responded with a classic Pinoy reaction.

Jake and Rabiya publicly confirmed their relationship earlier this year after months of dating.
During an appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ in May, Jake proudly announced, “Kami na.”
The actor revealed that he had admired Rabiya for years before finally reaching out to her through social media.
“She’s always been a crush of mine and once nung tinapos ko yung dalawang programa ko, once I was able to finish my responsibilities, I had to shoot my shot and I messaged her on social media,” he shared.
According to Jake, one of the things that drew him closer to Rabiya was her dedication to personal growth and education.
He particularly expressed admiration for the former beauty queen after she was accepted into the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Santo Tomas.
Jake also revealed that it was during a trip to Hong Kong that he officially asked Rabiya to be his girlfriend. The same trip also became memorable because it coincided with Rabiya receiving confirmation of her admission to medical school.
Reflecting on their relationship, Jake said they share similar life experiences and lessons, which helped strengthen their connection. The actor also emphasized that both of them have committed to being loyal and respectful to one another.
When asked if he could see himself marrying Rabiya someday, Jake did not hesitate to answer.
“I can see that. I don’t want to spoil it, ayoko magsalita ng ganun, but definitely with her, I can really see it,” he said.
