Actor and model David Licauco is entering a new chapter in his showbiz journey as he signs a series contract with Viva in partnership with ALV Talent Circuit. With years of experience in television and film and several notable roles and accolades under his belt, David is ready to explore new opportunities and further showcase his versatility as an actor.
Prior to becoming an actor, David was a commercial model for various brands, fashion shows, and magazine covers. He then began his acting career with a supporting role in the 2014 film The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin before appearing in television shows such as FlordeLiza (2015), Ipaglaban Mo! (2016), Magpakailanman (2016; 2018), and Karelasyon (2017). He later landed a major role as Malik in the fantasy-action series Mulawin vs. Ravena in 2017, marking one of his early breakthroughs on television.
In 2019, David landed his first lead film role in Because I Love You, where he starred opposite Shaira Diaz. He later continued his film career with Without You (2023), G! LU (2024), and That Kind of Love (2024), showcasing his range through romantic, dramatic, and coming-of-age stories. He also starred as Reverend Sam in the 2025 film Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.
On television, David took on lead and supporting roles in series such as Heartful Café (2021), Maging Sino Ka Man (2023), and Pulang Araw (2024). However, it was his portrayal of Fidel in the hit historical portal fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra (2022-2023) that became a defining milestone in his career. The series became one of GMA’s most successful dramas, eventually topping Netflix Philippines’ viewing charts and earning 22.1 million viewing hours globally during the first half of 2023.
David’s performance as Fidel also earned him several acting honors, including Best Supporting Actor at the Platinum Stallion National Media Awards and the Northwest Samar State University Students’ Choice Awards in 2023 and Supporting Actor of the Year at the VP Choice Awards in 2024.
Beyond acting, David has also ventured into music, releasing his debut single “I Think I Love You” last 2025.
With an expanding resumé across film, television, and music, David is now ready to take on another exciting phase in his career. Through this partnership with Viva, he looks forward to exploring new characters and stories, working with fresh creative collaborators, and continuing to grow as an artist.
