Four-Time AMI Awards Winner Nadin Amizah Unveils New Single ‘Moonlight’, Sets The Sonic Atmosphere For Her Third Studio Album

Indonesia’s most-streamed female artist on Spotify in 2025 and the four-time AMI Awards winner Nadin Amizah officially releases her new single, “Moonlight”. Released under her independent label Sorai, the standalone track is available across all major digital streaming platforms starting August 7, 2026.

Interestingly, “Moonlight” has been around for quite some time. Nadin wrote it back in high school and occasionally performed it live. “Especially during the “Sorai” and “Rumpang” eras, before I even had an album. Quite nostalgic, indeed,” shares the Bandung-born singer-songwriter.

“Moonlight” itself has never been officially recorded or released until now. It finally serves as the atmosphere-setter for Nadin Amizah’s third studio album, ‘Laika, Yang Ditinggalkan (Laika, The Abandoned)’. The reason: its sonic architecture introduces the world of the album’s central subject, Laika.

“Yes, “Moonlight” fits in sonically to introduce Laika’s world. Before getting to know her, I feel like we need to understand her universe first. From there, perhaps we can better comprehend Laika as a subject, along with everything that follows,” she explains.

Nadin paints her night in English this time around. An anomaly, departing from her signature dense, highly poetic, and metaphor-laden Indonesian lyricism. “Again, it’s my earlier songs. Written back in high school, even before ‘Nadin Amizah’ as the soloist people know today existed,” says the 26-year-old Bandung-born singer-songwriter.

Speaking of the album, Nadin offers a bold production experiment. She intentionally enlisted 10 different producers for the record, featuring notable names such as Lafa Pratomo, Baskara Putra, Enrico Octaviano, Otta Tarega, and Feby Putri, among others. For “Moonlight”, Nadin brought in Dissa Kamajaya to take the helm as lead producer.

“Even from the songwriting process, I already had a vision for its sonic layout, including the people who could bring out the best in it,” she adds.

As mentioned, Nadin’s third album is titled ‘Laika, Yang Ditinggalkan’. The name pays homage to a real historical figure: Laika, the dog sent on a one-way spaceflight by the Soviet space program in 1957. Laika’s fate arrived all too fast. A true martyr, she passed away on her fourth day in orbit due to severe overheating and extreme stress inside an isolated cabin.

“Laika’s story had a profound impact on me. Particularly seeing how every creature tries to fill the void within themselves; yearning for love, searching for the meaning of home, until at one point, it transforms into anger,” concludes the four-time AMI Awards winner—including Best Folk/Country/Ballad Production (2019, 2020, 2024) and Best Newcomer (2019).

Listen to “Moonlight” on your preferred digital streaming platforms starting August 7, 2026.
