As mandated by the 1987 Constitution, the President of the Republic of the Philippines must give an annual State of the Nation Address (SONA) to a joint session of the Congress of the Philippines every fourth Monday of July.
That day is today, July 23, and Filipinos are all tuned in to what President Rodrigo Duterte had to present to his people at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.
