‘Pinoy Big Brother’ is officially opening its doors for a new season, but this time, Big Brother is looking beyond celebrities for his next batch of housemates.
‘PBB’ hosts Bianca Gonzalez and Gabbi Garcia visited ‘It’s Showtime’ on Friday, August 14, to formally announce ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 3.0,’ another collaboration between ABS-CBN Studios and GMA Network.
“This is it. Ito na ang takdang panahon para sabihin na muling magbubukas ang bago at pinakasikat na bahay sa buong Pilipinas. Dito sa pinakabagong season na ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 3.0,’” Gonzalez announced.
While the partnership between the two networks continues, Garcia revealed that the upcoming season will introduce a major change in the type of housemates entering Kuya’s house.
“Kung ‘yong dalawang nakaraang collab seasons e mga celebrity housemates ang pinatuloy ni Kuya, bagong grupo ng mga housemate naman ang kaniyang hinahanap,” Garcia said.
Gonzalez then confirmed what PBB fans have long been requesting: ordinary Filipinos will once again have the opportunity to become housemates.
“You heard it right. Ang tagal nang hinihingi nito. Para sa season na ‘to, magbubukas ang bagong bahay ni Kuya para sa mga ordinaryong Pilipino,” she said.
Auditions officially opened on August 14 for Filipinos aged 18 to 35.
Aspiring housemates are required to submit a one-minute video introducing themselves and explaining why they deserve a spot inside Kuya’s house. Applications will be accepted until August 31 at 11:59 p.m.
The upcoming edition follows two celebrity-focused collaboration seasons between ABS-CBN and GMA Network.
The historic partnership was formally announced in January 2025, bringing together personalities associated with both networks inside the famous PBB house.
Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo emerged as the first Big Winners under the collaboration, followed by Caprice Cayetano and Lella Ford in the succeeding edition.
More details about ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 3.0,’ including information about Kuya’s new house, are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
