  • “Rainbow Sunset” was the big winner at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2018’s Gabi ng Parangal on Thursday night.
  • Dennis Trillo bagged the Best Actor award while Gloria Romero won the Best Actress

The movie “Rainbow’s Sunset” won Best Picture at this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal held on Thursday, December 27 at the Solaire Theatre in Pasay City.

Dennis Trillo won the Best Actor award for the movie “One Great Love,” while Joel Lamangan won Best Director for the movie “Rainbow’s Sunset.”

Here are the winners from Thursday’s Metro Manila Film Festival 2018 awards night:

Best Child Performer: Phoebe Villamor (Aurora)
Best Short Film: Bulacan State University

Best Visual Effects: Aurora
Best Production Design: Rainbow’s Sunset
Best Sound: Aurora
Best Musical Score: One Great Love
Best Original Theme Song: “Sayo Na” (Rainbow’s Sunset)
Best Editing: Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles
Best Cinematography: Aurora
Best Screenplay: Rainbow’s Sunset

FPJ Memorial Award: Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles
Scratch It Lucky Male Star of the Night: Jericho Rosales
Scratch It Lucky Female Star of the Night: Anne Curtis
Gat Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award: Rainbow’s Sunset

Best Supporting Actress: Aiko Melendez (Rainbow’s Sunset)
Best Supporting Actor: Tony Mabesa (Rainbow’s Sunset)
Best Director: Joel Lamangan (Rainbow’s Sunset)
Special Jury Prize: Max Collins (Rainbow’s Sunset)
