StarStruck Season 6 Grand Winner Klea Pineda shared how she ignited her passion for acting once again.
During the press conference of the new teleserye Magkaagaw, Klea admitted that she once thought about giving up her acting career.
“Umabot ako sa point na gusto ko nang ituloy ‘yung studies ko. Yes [gusto ko nang mag-give up],” Klea said.
But thanks to her new role in Magkaagaw,the actress finally decided to press on with her dreams as an actress.
“Pero parang ayokong i-give up eh. Parang may something sa akin na ayaw kong bitawan. Ito [Magkaagaw] ‘yon. Ito ‘yong ibinigay sa kin na isang malaking suntok ni Lord, ‘This is for you and I have plans for you. ‘Wag kang [maging] impatient. I’m cooking something for you na sobrang ma-a-appreciate mo after all these sacrifices, after all this waiting game. Ibibigay ko sa ‘yo sa tamang timing.'”
The actress was thankful that she was cast in the newest afternoon drama.
“Noong sinabi na sa ‘kin na may new show na ako, talagang nagsisigaw ako sa kuwarto. Isa siyang dream come true talaga sa akin. And masasabi ko na, ‘Klea, you did a great job.’ Mas binigyan mo ng reason ‘yung mga tao na maniwala sa ‘yo and mas kilalanin ka pa.’ Ang tagal kong pinaghirapan ‘to. Ang tagal kong nag-wait. Ang tagal kong nag-pray.”
She also considered her newest project as her biggest break in showbiz.
“Ito na ‘yung turning point ko. Happy ako talaga, sobra.”
Because of this project, Klea admitted that her passion for her work came back.

“Sabi ko kay Lord, ‘thank you sa sign na ‘to [dahil] biglang bumalik ‘yung fire inside me. Sobrang in love ko sa craft na ‘to, bumalik siya.'”
Klea will be paired up with Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales in the afternoon drama.This is the first time they will be working as the lead stars of a TV drama series for GMA’s Afternoon Prime. Magkaagaw will also star veteran actresses Sunshine Dizon and Sheryl Cruz. It will premiere on Monday, October 21.
Klea was recently linked to a video scandal which circulated on the internet. But according to Klea, the issue actually helped her to grow more as an actress.
Klea gained her popularity after she claimed her victory as the Ultimate Female Survivor of StarStruck 6 season in 2015 along with Migo Adecer who was hailed as the Ultimate Male Survivor. She then signed a five-year exclusive contract with GMA Artist Center and starred in 2016 fantasy series Encantadia.
