Who is ABS-CBN’s “Captain Barbell?”

GMA Network aired “Captain Barbell” in a TV series for two times. The first one is on 2006 and the other one is in 2011. In these two TV series, Richard Gutierrez portrayed the role of this famous Pinoy superhero! The first one is a huge hit while the second one is a mild hit. And now it’s in Kapamilya, will it add another flavor for the character, and will it bring excitement if another actor will portray this iconic role? We’ll see…

Speculations are now abuzz that Gerald Anderson will be playing “Captain Barbell” now that ABS-CBN had the rights for a remake. Others say, much better if this will be Jericho Rosales, though his “Panday” is a mild hit, closer to flop. Other suggestions for this role are Rayver Cruz, Piolo Pascual, JC de Vera, Billy Crawford, Enchong Dee, etc.

There’s no confirmation yet regarding this matter but it will be more exciting to see is how a Kapamilya actor will attack on this role previously played by Richard. What are your opinions everyone?
