Julia Barretto said, “I’m gonna protect it with all that I have.” about her new relationship as she plans to keep it private.
On Monday night, during a radio interview on Magic 89.9 FM, she revealed that she’s “very happy” and her “heart is fine” at the moment. But then, she did not answer whether she is single or in a relationship for now.
“It’s happy right now, it’s very happy,”
“But as to whether I’m single or not, I’m not gonna answer that for now.”
Barreto said that her love life should be the least of people’s concerns at the moment because of the COVID-19 pandemic. She also said that she wanted to keep her romantic relationship private this time around.
When she was asked about one thing that she would never do again, she answered: “When it comes to love if it’s something you really want to last or work out, protect it as much as you can and don’t share too much about it.
“I think the less people know about something, the less they could have an opinion about it.
“So now I want things to work out, I want things to last and I’m gonna protect it with all that I have. I’m gonna keep a lot of things to myself from now on when it comes to that aspect in my life.”
Because of her Instagram post last March, hints about Barretto’s new relationship came to light when she shared that she spent her birthday with her family and a “loved one.”
During her guesting on ABS-CBN’s Magandang Buhay, she explained why she refused to name her new love interest saying: “Sa trabaho natin very open book na tayo. Lahat ay alam na tungkol sa atin. Parang sa oras lang na ito, ini-enjoy ko na akin lang ito. Ako lang ‘yung nakakaalam na ito. So, pinoproteksyunan ko pa siya.”
Barretto was also linked romantically with her Between Maybes co-star Gerald Anderson which soon led to break up with her former onscreen partner Joshua Garcia in mid-2019 and Bea Alonzo with Gerald in August 2019.
But both Barretto and Gerald denied that they have a romantic relationship.
