Actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin emotionally shared her support for her home network ABS-CBN after it received another cease and desist order for its digital TV transmission in Metro Manila using channel 43 (TVPlus) as well as Sky Cable Corp.’s SKYdirect.
On the Instagram account of Locsin, she shared a photo of herself in front of the ABS-CBN headquarters in Quezon City.
“Kanina pumara ako sa harap ng ABS nung nabalitaan ko ang posibleng pagtigil sa TV Plus at Sky. Eto nanaman yung pakiramdam na maiiyak ka na lang.”

The actress even said that it would be nice if she can choose her where her taxes go.
Being a Kapamilya for 13 years, she encouraged her ABS-CBN family to have hope,
“Sana may option na pwede kang mamili kung saan pupunta ang binabayad mong tax. To my ABS family, hang in there.”
When the network was shut down last May 5, the Kapamilya actress even shed tears while pleaing for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.
On June 13 during the virtual press conference for her show Iba Yan, Locsin unexpectedly became emotional and burst into tears when she shared that her only wish was for her home network ABS-CBN to be given the renewal of the franchise they were fighting for.
“Sir, ang laki po ng hihilingin ko sa inyo, na sana po mapagbigyan niyo po kami. Siguro, aware naman po kayo sa sitwasyon namin ngayon, ng aming network. So, kailangan po talaga namin ng… Kailangan namin ng push. Naiiyak tuloy ako, teka lang.”
Later, she recovered her composure and apologized for crying.
“Hinihiling ko po sana kasi.. Kailangan po namin ng tulong niyo para maspread sa tao na nandito po kami. Patuloy po kaming nagbibigay ng serbisyo sa tao.”
Since the onset of the pandemic, Angel Locsin has actively participated in campaigns to help frontline workers and vulnerable sectors. She spearheaded the #UniTentWeStandPH, which provided additional space for coronavirus patients in dozens of inundated hospitals.
Her most recent and ongoing initiative, Shop & Share, is raising funds to purchase coronavirus test kits specifically for underprivileged communities, with testing already underway at the end of June.
