The Philippine action drama FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, top-billed by Coco Martin, continues in 2021 as one of the top teleseryes of ABS-CBN.
More so now that the series will be adding new actors to the fray of the action-packed primetime teleserye next year.
In a teaser presented during the ABS-CBN Christmas special 2020, Ang Probinsyano revealed three new characters. They are Jane de Leon as Pol. Cap. Natalia Mante, Vance Larena as Sgt. Jake Peralta, and Geoff Eigenmann as Maj. Albert de Vela.
Coco warmly welcomed Jane during the digital pre-show into the Ang Probinsyano family.
“Isang mainit na pagsalubong sa pinakabagong miyembro ng ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ family na si Ms. Jane de Leon,” said Coco.
Kim Chiu, host of the pre-show alongside Enchong Dee, described the 22-year-old actress, Jane as one of the new leading ladies Coco in the series.
When asked about her part in the teleserye, Jane highlighted the importance of her inclusion in Ang Probinsyano.
“Super happy, super unexpected, Kahit naman sino, gugustuhing maging part ng Ang Probinsyano,” said Jane.
The current leading lady in Ang Probinsyano is Yassi Pressman. She portrays Alyana in the teleserye. In recent episodes, Alyana reconnected with her former boyfriend, Lito, played by Richard Gutierrez.
Ang Probinsyano has been one of the best primetime offerings of ABS-CBN for five years. With the introduction of three new characters including a potential new leading lady, how will they affect the story of the hit teleserye?
