British Broadcasting Corporation or BBC has already recognized the popularity of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub and had described the duo as a “social media phenomenon”.
In a published article written by Heather Chen of BBC talked about the popularity of “AlDub” as a trending subject on Twitter everyday. She also said on her article “It is a surreal and wildly popular show which has smashed global social media records”. BBC also mentioned through Chen’s write-up that Kalyeserye of Eat Bulaga is gaining admiration from both local and international celebrities.
BBC has showed interest on Eat Bulaga Kalyeserye loveteam “AlDub” by featuring Alden Richards and Yaya Dub in their network through Kalyeserye footages.
If things will work out considering the hectic schedule of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards, BBC is set to do a live interview of AlDub which will happen after Tuesday – November 17 Eat Bulaga episode.
BBC will be sending Rico Hizon to do the interview on both Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza together as AlDub this Tuesday. Hizon is a notable Filipino broadcast journalist and anchors Asia Business Report and Newsday which closely follows the development in Kalyeserye and the phenomenal loveteam AlDub of Eat Bulaga.
AlDub live interview on BBC is scheduled right after Eat Bulaga this Tuesday, and this could be the first time that a TV loveteam from the Philippines will be featured on BBC.
UPDATE: November 19, 2015 at Eat Bulaga’s Broadway studio, BBC team together with anchorman for BBC Newsday and a former GMA Network newsman Rico Hizon were spotted talking to Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
It was earlier reported that an AlDub interview is being set by BBC and scheduled for November 19 right after Eat Bulaga show which coincides with the APEC news coverage of Rico Hizon in the country.
If plans pushed through and with the image of Rico Hizon and AlDub loveteam posted on several Twitter accounts, we could all expect to watch the live AlDub interview on BBC.
Rico Hizon co-anchors for “Newsday” on BBC, a 30-minute daily program that features trending news and topics from around the globe. Newsday is broadcast live thrice daily every Mondays through Fridays every 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM Philippine time (07:00, 08:00 and 09:00- UK Time).
