Indian film actress, model and former 1994 Miss Universe title holder, Sushmita Sen gave her support to our fellow Filipino Miss Universe 2015 winner Ms. Pia Wurtzbach.

She said she watched the pageant on the flight on her way to Dubai which was aired live, but watch it later when she arrive to her destination.
Sen won the crown at the Miss Universe beauty pageant held here in Manila in 1994. She was one of the most outstanding ladies among the contestants during the event. She became a crowd favorite and became popular and well loved by Filipinos.
She proudly said that the Philippines is her 2nd home and every Filipino is a family to her. She also mentioned that when she won the 1994 Miss Universe crown in Manila is a cherished blessing.
Sushmita like Pia Wurtzbach delivers a memorable answer that gave her the title during the pageant. Like Sen, Pia Wurtzbach stood out after the question and answer portion which gave her the front runner for the pageant.
After Miss Sen’s Twitter post congratulating Pia Wurtzbach, she also replied to a Filipino fan who said “We miss you too. Filipinos can still recite your final answer by heart–we’ve forgotten everyone else’s. You’d be amused.” Sushmita’s heartwarming reply was ‘ it was a beautiful question, such is the power of the ‘essence of a woman’.
