Following the news that Johnny Manahan is now with GMA Network through Willie Revillame’s WBR Entertainment Productions, several former ABS-CBN executives are said to follow suit and will soon jump ship also.
According to veteran entertainment columnist and radio broadcaster Cristy Fermin, former Star Magic Head Mariole Alberto is set to follow Mr. M and sign-up with GMA Network also.
Fermin during her radio show confirmed that Alberto’s transfer is already a done-deal mentioning Talent Manager Dolor Guevarra as her source.
“Nag-text si Tita Dolor Guevarra…Tayo ang naka-una du’n sa k’wento na nasa GMA Artist Center na si Ms. Mariole Alberto na talaga namang nagpasikat sa maraming artista ng ABS-CBN sa pamamagitan ng Star Magic, ‘di ba? Sila ni Mr. M, Johnny Manahan,” she said
Reggee Bonoan in his article in Bandera also said that aside from Mariole other former Kapamilya executives are also bound for the Kapuso Network.
With the ABS-CBN shutdown in 2020, several leading Kapamilya stars have chosen to transfer to other networks to earn projects. While others are currently working with TV5 others also chose to move to its archival GMA Network.
Some of the Kapamilya prized artists that are now Kapuso are Richard Yap, Pokwang, and Beauty Gonzales.
John Lloyd Cruz is also set to be seen over the Kapuso Network through Willie Revillame’s WBR Production which is said to produced John Lloyd’s comeback sitcom with Andrea Torres.
