Bea Alonzo talked about the projects that she wanted to do that’s why she transferred to the GMA Network.

The actress became the network’s latest addition to its Kapuso family on Thursday, July 1.

During the Zoom conference for her grand Kapuso welcome, the 33-year-old actress said that she’s interested in doing fantaseryes as well as controversial teleseryes to which the Kapuso network is mostly known for.

“Mulawin, napapanood ko ‘yan and I remember there was a time na very controversial ‘yung material niya (GMA Network) which is My Husband’s Lover and inabangan namin ‘yan so maybe something like that. Something a bit controversial. Parang ‘yung magpu-push ng boundaries,” said Alonzo.

The GMA Network produced several fantaseryes such as Mulawin (2005), Encantadia (2016-2017), Dyesebel (2009), Darna (2009), and Captain Barbel (2006).

The network is also known for its controversial teleseryes like My Husband’s Lover (2013), Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real (2014), Magkaagaw (2019), and Ang Dalawang Ikaw (2021).

When asked about her upcoming movie project with Kapuso star Alden Richards, the actress said that it might not be a controversial project but it is a dream project for her.

“Hindi siguro siya controversial pero it’s a dream project for me.”

The said film project titled A Moment to Remember will be co-produced by GMA Pictures, Viva Films, and APT Entertainment. It is a Philippine adaptation of the 2001 Japanese drama Pure Soul.

Prior to her transfer to the Kapuso Network, Alonzo stayed with ABS-CBN for about two decades before deciding to leave.

She has never starred in a fantaserye as all her projects dealt with the side of heavy drama or romantic drama.

She is known for her roles in the Kapamilya series I Love Betty La Fea (2008), Magkaribal (2010), A Beautiful Affair (2012), A Love to Last (2017), and Kadenang Ginto (2019).

She also starred in several Filipino films such as One More Chance (2007), The Mistress (2012), Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013), A Second Chance (2015), and Unbreakable (2019).
