Entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin may have confirmed, Wowowin’s host Willie Revillame’s plans to go into politics.
However, what will happen to his program Tutok To Win sa Wowowin?
In episode 107 of Take It …. Per Minute, Me Ganun!–Fermin recalled her phone conversation with Revillame.
“Nagpapagupit ako kanina, tumawag. Sabi ko ano na, ako ang inuulan ng tanong kung ano ba talaga ‘yung ire-reveal mo sa first week of August. Ano ba talaga, sabihin mo na para alam na namin.
“Ang sabi n’ya, ‘naku ipagdasal n’yo ako.’ ‘Naku ang tagal na naming nagdadasal para sa’yo. Hindi na nga naming pinagdarasal ang mga buhay namin.'”
Fermin added that Revillame feared the possibility of losing if he ran for office, concluding that it confirms his plans to get into politics.
“Pero inamin n’ya ang follow-up daw talaga almost every day ng partido ng lolo mo.
“Kasi tinanong nga n’ya ako, ‘Gusto mo ba mata mo lang, walang latay. Ang ganda ganda na ng estado mo. Matatalo ata ako eh.’ Mukang true.”
Showbiz reporter Lolit Solis added her opinion into the conversation, saying that Revillame has a chance of winning if he runs for office now.
“Kung si Willie eh pipili ng panahon. Ito pinaka panahon n’ya. Kasi nasa top s’ya. Kung five years ago, siguro alanganin pa.”
Earlier, President Rodrigo Duterte expressed his interest in having Revillame as one of his senators.
As for Wowowin, reports say that Revillame is grooming a new host to take over the GMA Network variety program.
