Viva’s Taya star AJ Raval could not help but share how her ex-boyfriend caused her many problems because of gambling.
In the virtual media conference for Viva’s upcoming movie Taya, Thursday, July 29, AJ, the film’s lead actress, revealed that her ex stressed her because of his gambling problems.
“Meron akong naging boyfriend na nagsusugal hanggang sa ako na ang nai-stress magbayad sa mga utang n’ya,” the young talent revealed. “Dahil sa sugal, nagkabaon-baon s’ya sa utang. Ako ang nai-stress na magbayad.”
She added by saying that Taya would make a good lesson for her former bf not to be greedy.
“Kaya gusto kong ipapanuod ‘tong Taya para matutunan n’ya na wag maging sugapa sa lahat nang bagay. Dahil lahat ng sobra, masama.”
However, when it comes to love, the artist is willing to risk it all.
“Yes! Feeling ko naman lahat sumusugal sa pag-ibig,” she admitted.
AJ was also asked how is her family accepting her career as an actress.
According to her, they were against AJ being a sexy actress at first. However, they have slowly accepted her decision, especially her father, Jeric Raval.
“Reaction ng family ko sa career ko ngayon, at first, kontra sila, totoo ‘yon. Pero ang tatay ko kasi, parang pakonti-konti, natatanggap na n’ya. S’yempre artista din siya and I know naiintindihan n’ya,” she explained.
But when it comes to doing daring roles, there is a limit for AJ. She said that she is willing to learn when it comes to acting but will not do very intimate roles.
“When it comes to acting, sobrang open ako. Magtatanong ako para sa acting, para mas mag-improve ako, marunong akong makinig,” answered AJ.
“Mga hindi ko lang sigurong gagawin yung sobrang all-out na pagpapa-sexy,” she added.
Of course, women had always encountered mean comments about their bodies, and the artist experiences it. But AJ admitted that she does not care about such negativity and instead focuses her attention on those who genuinely support her.
“Sa totoo lang, wala akong pakialam sa kanila. Kasi masaya ako sa ginagawa ko. Sa body shaming, ako kasi never akong nag-body shame,” she explained. “Hindi ko nilalagay yung sarili ko sa mga bashers. Kasi unang-una wala silang bilang sa ginagawa ko. Imbes na pansinin ko sila, magfo-focus na lang ako sa mga taong nagmamahal sa’kin.”
The artist also noted that she appreciates women’s flaws, such as having stretch marks or dark areas.
“Alam ko tignan ang mga babae. For me, wala lang kung may stretch marks, kung may dark areas.”
Taya will be available for streaming on Vivamax, August 27.
