Social Media has given license to lots of people to express their opinions, warranted or not. But some netizens have cross the lines when they make comment in vulgar words or crude manner.
And now, another showbiz personality has been targeted by some netizens. Couple Aiza Seguerra and Liza Dino has responded to them and branding their comments homophobic with regards to their having a baby thru In Vitro Fertilization.
When Aiza Seguerra said, during a TV 5 presscon conference, of her and Liza’s plan to have baby thru IVF it made news and as usual backlash against her and wife Liza Dino, their marriage and the LGBT community surfaced again.
Aiza Seguerra posted several of the vulgar comments they have been getting and then mockingly lauded those netizens.
But Liza Dino is saddened by the turn of events. In her Facebook account, she shared her sentiment how the topic of In Vitro Fertilization always produces negative and homophobic comment.
The couple plans to go thru IVF where they will find a sperm donor and will use Aiza Seguerra’s egg cell. Liza then will carry the baby and act as surrogate. With this set up, they will have the full experience of giving birth to their child.
But the homophobic and vulgar comment made Liza realized that the people acceptance of their relationship still seems like a long road for them and that in a way she recognizes her and Aiza’s role in pushing for the rights of the LGBT community.
Liza said that in the past, she used to get hurt especially on days she hears negative comments on her relationship and subsequent marriage to Aiza Seguerra on December 2014 but not anymore.
She further said for people to move on as it is 2016 already and nothing will be amiss if one respect people rights.
