Kapamilya artists Kiko Estrada and Heaven Peralejo recently revealed their relationship via Instagram after months of speculations by netizens.
Looking back, Estrada was in a relationship with Devon Seron when he worked on the set of Bagong Umaga with Peralejo. However, Estrada and Seron broke up in February 2021, fanning the rumors that Peralejo had something to do with it.
As a result, netizens can’t help but compare them to Kapamilya actors Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto, one of the recent showbiz couples who made it official.
However, is it fair to put them side by side?
On August 24, Estrada clarified that his relationship with Peralejo didn’t overlap with Seron’s. He went on an interview detailing that he and Peralejo started seeing each other in May 2021, three months after his breakup with Seron–putting a lid on the issue.
On the other hand, Anderson and Barretto’s relationship did not have any concrete timeline to rely on that would have stomped the rumors surrounding Anderson’s break up with his girlfriend back then, Bea Alonzo.
Anderson only expressed his interest in apologizing to Alonzo in his recent interview with Boy Abunda. And, his statement did not sit well with Janus Del Prado, who was one of Alonzo’s close friends.
Del Prado even posted comments on his Instagram detailing the list of people Anderson should apologize to, including Alonzo, and how he should do it.
And even before his relationship with Alonzo, Anderson faced numerous rumors about his past flames that remained unanswered.
And with that, should people compare Estrada and Peralejo’s relationship to Anderson and Barretto’s?
