Anti-corporal Punishment Act of 2013 that seeks to ban all forms of humiliating or degrading punishments to discipline a child

Broadcast journalist Ted Failon looks into the Anti-corporal Punishment Act of 2013 that seeks to ban all forms of humiliating or degrading punishments to discipline a child filed by Senate neophyte Nancy Binay in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (August 17).

Under the bill, any person, even parents caught pinching, pulling ears or hair, scolding, yelling at children or more shall be penalized. Will the bill also prohibit the parents to discipline their children?

Ted also examines why illegal vendors can still sell along sidewalks despite Metro Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) claim that they are doing thorough efforts to eliminate them via clearing operations.

“Mang Jun,” a vendor in Commonwealth Market, reveals that they are paying P5,000 to P12,000 monthly to a collector so they won’t be expelled from the sidewalks. Who are the people receiving payments from the illlegal vendors?

The reported redevelopment plan in Manila Zoo, meanwhile, will also be discussed.

Don’t miss the full report in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (August 17), 4:45 PM, after SOCO on ABS-CBN with a replay on ANC every Sunday, 2PM.
