ABS-CBN Film Restoration brings another Pinoy family-drama classic to today’s viewers as it premieres the digitally restored and remastered version of “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin,” starring Lorna Tolentino and Richard Gomez, in the latest edition of Sagip Pelikula Festival on KTX.ph starting October 19 (Tuesday).

The online screening of “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin” will kick off Sagip Pelikula Festival’s tribute to the cinematic crafts of renowned filmmaker and ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc.’s managing director Olivia M. Lamasan, which will feature more of her restored hits following its premiere.

Directed by Lamasan and co-written with acclaimed screenwriter Ricky Lee, the 1997 Star Cinema classic brings the story of Lisa (Lorna) and Mike (Richard), a happily married couple who long for a comfortable life together with their children. Both of them also happen to work together in the same company as marketing officials.

But their relationship then takes a hit when their pride and ambitions in their jobs get the best of them. Instead of Mike getting the promotion he’d tirelessly worked and hoped for, his wife Lisa gets the position he’d desired for the longest time—leading to intense jealousy and heated confrontations at work, which later affects their relationship and the whole family.

Despite these circumstances that further their divide from one another, will Lisa and Mike set aside their differences in their careers to mend their love for one another and keep their family intact?

Also starring alongside Lorna Tolentino and Richard Gomez are Ronaldo Valdez, Gina Pareño, Chanda Romero, Angelica Panganiban, Eula Valdez, Cherry Pie Picache, Sylvia Sanchez, Mandy Ochoa, Toby Alejar, Dwight Gaston, Farrah Florer, Jericho Rosales, Julia Clarete, and Ronalisa Cheng.

In 1998, the film also garnered different recognitions from award-giving bodies, including the FAMAS Awards, FAP Awards, and the Young Critics Circle.

Catch the premiere of “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin” on the latest edition of Sagip Pelikula Festival starting October 19 at 7:30 PM on KTX. As a special treat to online viewers, there will be a pre-show during every screening featuring Lorna Tolentino and its director Olivia Lamasan as they recall their experiences in making the film.

Tickets are now available at https://bit.ly/HKKMonKTX for only P150.

Apart from the online screening of “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin,” today’s viewers can also watch some of Olivia M. Lamasan’s restored classics, including “Got 2 Believe,” “Maalaala Mo Kaya The Movie,” “In My Life,” “Sana Maulit Muli,” “Milan,” “Minsan, Minahal Kita,” and “The Mistress” on-demand beginning October 20 (Wednesday).

ABS-CBN Film Restoration celebrated its tenth year of restoring and remastering films from directors and writers of note for today’s viewers to appreciate through its Sagip Pelikula initiative. These efforts have earned multiple recognitions from award-giving bodies worldwide, including the prestigious Gold Quill Award given by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Gawad Pedro Bucaneg from Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL), and most recently the Gawad PASADO sa Pagsisinop ng mga De Kalibreng Pelikula distinction from the 23rd Gawad PASADO organized by Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro (PASADO).
