Nick Daez, brother of commercial model-actor-Kapuso news anchor-and-vlogger, Mikael Daez is charged with ‘Habeas Corpus’ and Custody on Friday, February 11 at the Court of Appeals in Manila.

The older brother of Mikael, real name, Rafael Francisco “Nick” Daez, a.k.a. “Nicky,”, is known to be a meditation and breathwork coach, nomadic entrepreneur, kundalini yoga, and sound healer “dealing with anxiety and stress”.
Nick is allegedly involved with the wife of a young independent filmmaker and advertising director, Carl Angelo Ruiz.
Daez, along with Ruiz’s wife, Mikaela Maria Tuazon-Ruiz, are respondents in a Habeas Corpus and Custody case.
According to Ruiz, since August 2021, Daez and Tuazon (Ruiz’s wife) blocked him in all of their social media accounts and Tuazon stopped communicating since 27th of September last year until the present.
The filmmaker’s son, three-year-old, is believed to be with both Daez and Tuazon as they continue to elude detection of their location.
For close to five months now, the father is unable to determine or locate the whereabouts of his son. Social media posts of Daez and Tuazon show that the child was transported to different places at the height of the pandemic and was in Siargao as typhoon Odette pummelled the island. Ruiz twice made an appeal to Daez on social media but was ignored.
Based on pictures posted by Daez and Tuazon on their respective social media accounts, the child was brought to various places: Makati, Pasig, La Union, Zambales, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and Siargao.
Ruiz is bent on pursuing the case against Daez and Tuazon. He said: “We can’t wait for another disaster to happen. Hindi niya deserve maranasan ang nomadic way of life this early.
“He’s just 3 years old and besides, may pandemic pa.”
The process of filing the case was difficult for Ruiz.
“Hindi madali pero they made me do this. Ayaw ko sanang umabot pa sa ganito pero korte na lang ang alam kong makakatulong sa akin para mahanap ko at makasamang muli ang anak ko. I
“I’m doing this to see my son again and save him from further confusion. Ayaw kong ma-feel niyang iniwan ko siya. Sa mura nyang edad, hindi tama na tanggalin sa isip nya na may ama siyang nagmamahal sa kanya.”
