GMA Network already confirmed Alden Richards to lead “My Love From The Star” as Matteo Do, but who will be the Steffi Cheon?
Unfortunately, Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub can’t do the series for now. Despite winning Best Supporting Actress on last year’s MMFF, Maine Mendoza is still not confident about her acting skills, the main reason why she’s not yet ready to do a teleserye.
When asked by PEP about her reaction on Alden Richards’ possible new loveteam after “Imagine You & Me,” Maine Mendoza answered, “Baka lang naman po.”
Alden seconded Maine’s answer, “Wala pa naman pong sure as of this moment. Wala pa pong nagma-materialize na plano. Talagang after po ng movie, we’ll see po what will happen next.”
“So far po, wala pa pong plano na ibang project with other love team,” Alden added.
But since Alden was already confirmed by GMA Network, and Maine is obviously not on it, there’s a big possibility of Alden to have a new pair for the Pinoy adaptation of hit Koreanovela “My Love From The Star.” It could be Jennylyn Mercado… It could be another Kapuso artist or a new one. There’s nothing definite yet…
Whatever happens, Maine gave her assurance of support for Alden, “Susuportahan ko naman si Alden kung ano ang gagawin niya in the future, after the movie.”
