Rising actress Apphle Celso is making it clear—she is ready to fully embrace a more daring image as she takes on bold and challenging roles in her career.

During a recent interview, Apphle openly shared her decision to go “all out” when it comes to mature and provocative scenes, seeing it as a way to push her boundaries as an artist.
“All out po talaga. I wanna challenge myself. Saka parang feeling ko rin, all these years I’ve been focusing on doing TV commercials. Puro ako demure, wholesome, and alam din naman ng ibang tao kung saan ako nanggaling, sa girl group (P-Pop Generation),” she said.
She admitted that stepping into more daring roles allowed her to express a side of herself that had long remained unseen.
“Meron akong sexy side. Meron akong wild side na hindi ko mailabas-labas. So, sabi ko, bakit ko siya itatago kung puwede ko naman siya gamitin sa Vivamax?” she added.
Apphle revealed that her transition into VMX (formerly Vivamax) projects did not happen overnight. In fact, she had been receiving offers for years from Vic del Rosario Jr. before finally deciding to take the leap in 2025.
“Last year lang po ako na-convince na mag-VMX. Ilang beses na siyang ino-offer sa akin… Pero parang napagtanto ko lang din na maybe, try something new, something challenging, something bold sa career ko,” she shared.
Despite this shift, the actress emphasized that she has no plans of leaving her roots in commercial work, which she considers a lifelong passion.
“Ayoko po talagang iwanan ang paggawa ng commercials kasi nagsimula ako sa commercials, baby pa ako… parang ang nabi-visualize ko, hanggang maging lola ako, gagawa ako ng commercials,” she said.

Apphle also recounted the turning point that led her to finally accept the VMX offer.
“So last year, may hinihintay ako na malaking project, commercial po siya. Sabi ko kay Boss Vic, ‘Sige po, kapag hindi ako na-approve sa project na ito, mag-VMX na ako.’ E, hindi po ako na-approve. Nag-VMX na po ako,” she explained.
Now headlining films such as ‘Kesong Puti’, currently streaming on VMX, Apphle continues to redefine her image while taking on more complex and daring roles.
