After going public in May this year about their relationship, Mikee Quintos revealed that at the beginning, her guy best friends Ruru Madrid and Mikoy Morales are not in favor of his current boyfriend Paul Salas.
“Noong una nga hindi sila boto sa akin,” shared Paul who currently works with Madrid and Morales in the television series Lolong.
The two male stars believed that Salas is not serious about Quintos.
“Ayaw nila. Feeling nila ‘di magseseryoso,” she shared.
Quintos believes that Lolong is a blessing for her best friends to know Salas and give him a chance as his boyfriend.
“Si Lord na ‘yung nag ayos ng problema ko. Ang naiisip ko si Mikoy at Ruru na ‘yung pinaka pwede niyang pagselosan na lalaki sa buhay ko… Doon sa Lolong, roommates pa sila, then paglabas nila doon, ako na ‘yung out of place sa kanilang tatlo.”
Salas also shared his experience in the show, “Hindi ko talaga mapupush through ‘yung Martin ko na character kung hindi dahil kila Ruru and Mikoy, nandyan sila na naggagabay sakin.”
During the lock in taping, both Madrid and Morales revealed to Morales that they were not in favor of him in the beginning.
“Nung nakita daw nila ako sa locked in, kung sino ako… Ah gets na namin kung bakit na inlove si bestfriend namin.”
Mikee revealed that her best friends texted her saying that they approved of Paul already.
“Si Ruru sabi, okay siya, B. Okay na siya sakin. Tapos si Mikoy, nagbago na ‘yung isip ko. I’ll take it back,” Quintos disclosed.
Salas and Quintos will star in GMA’s Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters on October 31.
