On October 26, Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes confirmed that he plans on saving up for the 88th branch of Mesa.
During his contract renewal with Mesa at the Rockwell Powerplant Mall, which LionhearTV covered, Dantes cited how much he believed in Mesa’s brand.
“Sabi ko nga kay Mr. Dee, both in my right and my left, na ‘yung branch 88, ireserba na sa akin. Siyempre, I believe in the brand so much. In fact, hindi lang kumbaga dahil nandito ako to represent and endorse it.”
He also talked about how he considered himself a ‘foodie’, especially for classic Filipino food.
“That’s part of it, pero talagang growing up–isa akong foodie growing up. Isa akong foodie growing up and mahilig talaga ako sa classic Filipino flavors, especially now kapag may twist siya. Especially, during the pandemic, ‘yung Mesa talaga ‘yung parati naming go to food.
“Ayan si Raymond parati kong kausap, and talagang it’s now part of our lives. Malaking bahagi ng buhay namin ang Mesa, kaya moving forward, kailangan markahan na ‘yan forever with store number 88.”
Currently, Mesa is commemorating its 70th branch, which includes the renewal of Dantes’ contract as its endorser.
Dantes explained that he wanted to save the 88th branch because he wanted to save up first before getting a franchise in Mesa.
“Wala lang kasi, ngayon seventy na eh, kasi baka pag seventy one, masyadong malapit, mag-iipon muna ako. Para may oras pa.”
He also hinted at the possibility of giving the branch of Mesa as a gift to his wife, Marian Rivera.
“Well, sinabi mo na, so hindi na surprise. Pero, siyempre, if you’re talking about the possibilities definitely.”
When asked about the 88th branch’s location, Dantes clarified that he plans to establish it outside Metro Manila.
Aside from endorsing Mesa, he also hosts the Kapuso game show Family Feud Philippines.
