Bea Alonzo shed light on the alleged statement of John Lloyd Cruz in their upcoming reunion movie.
On December 22, Alonzo stated that she called Cruz to clarify the rumors of him saying their reunion movie is fake news.
“Syempre tinawagan ko siya agad. Tutal magkaibigan naman kami, tinawagan ko siya and he denied that he said that.
“We both agree na hindi kami magpapaapekto sa kung ano-ano man,” she said.
On May 16, Alonzo shared that she wanted to do a project with Cruz after she finishes taping for her series Start-Up PH.
The actress shared, “Lahat ito ay magdedepende pa sa time naming dalawa kung magtutugma at magdedepende pa sa script kung mababasa na ni John Lloyd and if he will agree to doing it.”
According to her, “It’s very exciting and nakaka-flatter din kasi kahit na sobrang tagal na naming magkapareha hindi pa rin nawawala ‘yung interes nila sa amin.”
In a report by ABS-CBN on December 2, Alonzo revealed that she and Cruz would have a reunion film.
However, on December 19, entertainment vlogger/talent manager Ogie Diaz said that his source talked with Cruz regarding the film, and the actor had no idea about it.
“Naloka si John Lloyd Cruz sa balitang gagawa sila ng pelikula ni Bea Alonzo. Nahihiya si John Lloyd Cruz na paasahin ang kanilang fans na meron silang comeback movie ni Bea,” Diaz said.
