On January 27, actor Arron Villaflor asserted that he is open to being a ‘Querido.’
At the media conference for the Vivamax film ‘La Querida’, Villaflor explained that if a person he loves gets hurt in their current relationship, he would be fine stepping in. The actor shared, “Sa akin, di natin masasabi ‘yung tadhana, eh kung sinasaktan naman siya noong minamahal naman niya, bakit ako hindi pwedeng sumalo? Pwede di ba? …hindi sinabing Querido, or Querida, masama na eh. Kasi minsan ‘yung totoong kasama mo, di ka masaya, or mas malungkot ‘yung buhay mo with the person. So masasabi ko, I can be a Querido, pwede akong maging Querido.”
As for ‘La Querida’, he cited how different his role was in the film from his previous Vivamax roles. He noted, “Siguro, masasabi ko– para sa akin kasi is everyone is participating, then everyone is helpful pagdating sa set. So, feeling ko this is–masasabi ko, this is something different sa mga ginawa ko in the past few projects. Medyo nag-aano tayo ngayon, sa love story ngayon. So hindi tayo rough.”
He also praised his co-stars and the team behind ‘La Querida’, citing that their film is a movie meant for Valentine’s Day.
Villaflor said he decided to take the role because of the plot, as well as because he loves the cast and that it is directed by GB Sampedo. He furthered, “Then, para sa Valentine’s natin, may mapaiyak tayo somehow, di ba? For sure, maiiyak talaga sila kasi the story itself. I’ll tell you honestly, sobra, sobra.”
‘La Querida’ stars Angela Morena, Villaflor, Mercedes Cabral, and Jay Manalo. The cast also features Viva stars such as Josef Elizalde, Alona Navarro, Andrew Muhlach, and Jiad Arroyo. The interweaving love story directed by GB Sampedro streams on Vivamax on February 10.
