Bugoy Cariño, a former child actor, has taken on a new career path as an influencer without the assistance of a management team.
During an interview on April 28, he shared his belief that his ability to be an influencer was given to him by God.
He stated, “Yung pagiging influencer binigay talaga sya sakin ni God. Di ko pa naman po masasabi na successful ako sa pagvvlog sa Facebook, mga 30% okay maging influencer sa Facebook kasi naeexplore ko yung sarili ko tyaka nasasama ko yung mag-ina ko.”
Despite not having a management team to help him, Bugoy has been able to explore himself and create content that showcases his personality and family life.
“Kung maisipan ko lang pero hindi sya planado hindi ako fan ng scripted dahil mas gusto ko yung natural,” he shared.
Bugoy shared that he would like to appear on TV shows again, but he is not particularly interested in long-running teleseryes. Instead, he would prefer to work on movies or guesting roles.
Furthermore, Cariño discussed his experiences adjusting as a father and dealing with sponsorships and brand deals losses.
2018 when Cariño landed in hot water following speculations that he impregnated his girlfriend, which resulted in ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime management suspending him.
In 2020, Bugoy Cariño and former University of Santo Tomas (UST) volleyball player EJ Laure made headlines when both revealed they are having a baby.
