A deep and lasting friendship is the best. It keeps you going even in the worst of times. It is a testament to your loyalty. It means trusting someone and being trustworthy yourself. And when things go wrong, it means choosing to make amends. But it’s not as simple as it sounds.
In “Beks Days of Our Lives”, a dramedy movie from Viva Films, Chad Kinis, MC Muah, and Lassy show the different things friends go through, how they stick together to turn their tears to laughter, and keep the friendship despite all the odds.
Richard (Chad Kinis), Melvin (MC Muah), and Reggie (Lassy) have been friends for many years despite working in different fields. Richard is an insurance broker. Melvin works as a tour guide. Reggie is into sales. Every week, they see to it that they bond together. They also have an anniversary date of their friendship.
But their annual celebration together may soon come to an end as Reggie has been diagnosed with leukemia. Heartbroken, they agree to go to Camarines Sur to create more memories together. If it’s going to be their last great adventure together, then they’re already claiming it to be the best days of their lives!
In this vacation, they find themselves in hilarious situations, but at the same time, they are able to address some family issues. Everything’s going perfectly well until the night Reggie collapses. And then it all comes crashing down.
As the friends are already overwhelmed by illness, guilt, and rifts, a devastating secret is about to be revealed. How can they still cope with it?
“Beks Days of Our Lives” is extra special for Chad Kinis as it is his directorial debut. On his Facebook post, Chad expresses his joy for fulfilling his dream to direct a movie for their group, Beks Battalion. Chad, MC, and Lassy formed their group in February 2020, but they have long been friends since working together in comedy bar. During the pandemic lockdown, the trio lived together and their good-vibes vlogs have gone viral. Now, they’ve admittedly become busier with other things, that’s why they don’t get to release vlogs as much as they used to. But this movie will make up for that.
