The event comes a week ahead of the television premiere of the historic collaboration series between ABS-CBN and GMA Network.
Top executives of both ABS-CBN and GMA Network graced the recently-concluded celebrity watch party, last May 20, at the Trinoma, for the upcoming series, Unbreak My Heart. ABS-CBN CEO and President, Carlo Katigbak, beamed with excitement and pride during his impassioned speech for his fellow Kapamilyas and Kapuso team.
Katigbak paid tribute to his Kapuso counterparts, especially to GMA executive, Atty. Anette Gozon-Valdes.
“Thank you Anette, to Viu, to Joey, and Philipp, for pushing for this partnership,” said Katigbak, who also acknowledged the Kapuso figurehead, Atty. Felipe Gozon, who was not present at the event. “Thank you Atty. Gozon, for agreeing to do this,”.
Katigbak deemed the project, which is under the creative and production team of the Kapamilya drama unit, Dreamscape Entertainment, as one of the finest shows ABS-CBN has ever produced. “Thank you to the production staff, to the cast—Joshua, Gabbi, Richard, and Jodi—and to Direk Manny, Direk Dolly, and the crew, for breathing life into this incredible story.”
He also acknowledged the power of ABS-CBN and GMA teams coming together, noting how it affirms Filipino achievement.
“It confirms what the Filipino can really achieve, especially when two talented teams choose to work together,” added the Kapamilya executive.
As for Kapuso Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, Atty. Anette Gozon reiterated GMA Network’s respect for ABS-CBN as a leading content creator.
“Thank you, ABS-CBN. As I’ve said previously, we have always respected you as a superb content provider, and with this project, you proved again your excellence,” she shared.
She teased fans about what may still come next after “Unbreak My Heart’, as both networks embark on expanding their partnership. “We are very happy to be your partner. This is the first of many to come,” she added.
Unbreak My Heart’s episodes become available on Viu, beginning May 26, and on iWantTFC, on May 27, ahead of the series’ May 29 TV premiere.
