On August 5, singer-comedienne Kakai Bautista disclosed how she is now after the issue with the Thai star Mario Maurer.
At the media event for ‘Tiktalks’ Season 2, which LionhearTV covered, Bautista stated that she put the issues behind her, highlighting how she wanted to move on from what happened.
“Siguro ‘yung mga nangyari sa past, iniwan ko na ‘yun doon. Kasi di ba? Kasi masyadong mabigat, bibitbitin mo pa ba? Hindi tayo makaka-alagwa sa buhay kung may bitbit kang mabibigat. And andami kong iniwang tao, ang dami kong kinalimutang mga toxic na tao, toxic na mga issues, kaya siguro okay ako ngayon.
“Kasi kung nandoon pa rin ako at minsan iniisip ko na lang kung ang mga tao hindi makaka-move on, bahala kayo diyan, okay na ko, it’s not my problem anymore na ganon pa rin kayo sa mga issue na ‘yan hanggang ngayon. Ganon pa rin ‘yung tingin ninyo sa akin.”
She then asserted that she feels okay now and highlighted how she thrived in her life and career.
“But for me, I’m really okay now. Sobrang steady ng mental health ko. And thriving to be more stable, kasi nga ipriority na natin ‘yung mga utak natin ngayon guys kasi maiksi na lang buhay ng mundo, huwag na natin bigyan ng oras ‘yung mga panget na nangyari sa buhay natin. Doon tayo mag-focus sa saya.”
She then clarified that despite what happened, she carried the good memories from the past.
“And hindi ko siya kinalimutan as kinalimutan, ‘yung magandang memories na nakuha ko sa bad moments sa buhay ko, dinala ko. ‘Yung mga bwisit lang ang iniwan ko.”
In 2012, Bautista and Maurer worked on the film, ‘Suddenly It’s Magic.’ After working in the Kapamilya film, the two had a close friendship, with Bautista meeting Maurer’s parents and family when she visited Thailand.
However, in 2019, Bautista revealed that she and Maurer grew apart and stopped communicating.
Then in 2021, Maurer talent agency sent a legal letter asking her to stop ‘attaching herself’ to the Thai actor.
