This latest offering is the product of Timmy’s collaboration with All Star Projects; an initiative that provides emerging creatives with funding and mentorship to help accelerate their careers. Since 2021, Converse is proud to have supported more than 85 All Star Projects around the globe with over $1,000,000 in funding. The young singer was lucky to be chosen as its 2024 awardee.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind “GET UP!”, Timmy Albert shares, “Being in the music industry is a free fall. Growing up, you often feel like you’re enjoying the flight, but then gravity hits you hard with reality – having to land, stay grounded again, and force yourself to get up.” This sentiment is echoed throughout the song’s lyrics, where Albert candidly explores the dichotomy of chasing dreams while navigating the challenges of adulthood. He even opened the song with lines, I don’t mind going broke / No matter where the music takes me /That’s where I’ll go
