Megaworld Corporation and several Megaworld Lifestyle Malls received an accreditation from the Department of Energy for its sustainability project ‘Park. Charge. Drive.’ This certifies the corporation is an accredited Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) Provider – Operator on a national level and its lifestyle malls namely Arcovia City, Eastwood Mall, Forbes Town, Uptown Mall, and Uptown Parade as a registered Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) Provider that follows the government’s standard requirements and regulations.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls launched ‘Park. Charge. Drive.’ last July 2022, using Uptown Mall as its first property to establish a free charging station on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis, followed by Uptown Parade and Eastwood City respectively.

This project successfully served 1,135 electric vehicles, saving an estimated amount of 150,000 pesos worth of fuel by providing 20,000 kilowatt hours of consumption electricity in its first few months, proving that there is a widespread community that uses e-vehicles as a mode of transportation.

Megaworld continuously performs its corporate duty in generating awareness, supporting the government efforts in improving the environment against the stemming issues of pollution. Furthermore, this accreditation shows that Megaworld continuously sets a pioneering example in providing sustainable solutions in improving the environment for a better community lifestyle.

Currently, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls have the charging stations in the following properties: 1st Level Basement Parkings of Eastwood Mall and Forbes Town, 2nd Level Basement Parking of Uptown Mall, Ground Level Open Parking of Uptown Parade, and the Open Parking near Arcovia City’s Showroom. McKinley Hill, Lucky Chinatown, and Iloilo Festive Walk are the next properties to have EV charging stations.
