Veteran actress Lotlot de Leon has addressed rumors linking her daughter, Janine Gutierrez, with actor Jericho Rosales.
The two have been frequently seen together in public and will soon be starring in the upcoming Kapamilya series ‘Lavender Fields.’
In a recent interview, De Leon confirmed that Gutierrez and Rosales have been spending a lot of time together, and she sees nothing wrong with it.
“Well, they’re both single, so nakikita ko nga na they’re always together. That’s good if they’re trying to get to know each other. There’s nothing wrong with that, they’re both single, they’re both adults, they’re both mature individuals. So yeah, there’s really nothing wrong with it,” De Leon commented.
De Leon spoke highly of Rosales, noting that he is well-regarded by their colleagues for his caring and responsible nature.
“I know that he’s also maalaga, maasikaso, mapagmahal sa pamilya, he’s very family-oriented, and he’s a very responsible guy. So, yeah, that’s how I know him, that’s what I know of him also,” she added.
When asked if Rosales had sought her permission to court Gutierrez, De Leon responded that the decision ultimately lies with her daughter.
“That’s not up to me, but thank you for asking permission. ‘Di ba, nakakatuwa na parang humingi ng paalam or mag-abiso, hindi ba? Nakakatuwa yun, so if eventually they are really dating, then I trust Janine, I trust her decision,” De Leon said.
