Celebrity photographer BJ Pascual has publicly responded to OPM singer Denise Julia’s allegations regarding their canceled photoshoot, sharing his side of the story through social media.

The issue has captured public attention since BJ labeled the incident his “worst” professional experience in a podcast interview.

In a detailed statement posted on his Instagram, BJ addressed Denise’s claims and provided screenshots of their teams’ conversations to clarify the situation. His key points included:

Budget Negotiations: BJ denied the claim that the initial shoot cost was ₱1.2 million. He revealed that his team had worked to lower the budget to ₱371,000, which he described as “below industry standards” to accommodate Denise’s team.

Shoot Cancellation: BJ refuted allegations that his manager unilaterally canceled the shoot. Instead, he shared screenshots showing a disagreement between both teams’ management that led to the cancellation.
Schedule Confirmation: Contrary to Denise’s assertions, BJ provided evidence that his team had confirmed the shoot schedule.

BJ emphasized his commitment to professionalism and transparency, stating: “My intention… is not to escalate the matter but to provide clarity and accountability. I deeply value professionalism, fairness, and the hard work of everyone in our industry.”

The dispute began when BJ Pascual appeared on Killa Kush’s podcast and referred to Denise Julia as his “worst” work experience. He claimed the shoot was called off due to scheduling issues involving Denise’s glam team.

Denise later responded on Instagram, sharing screenshots and alleging that BJ’s team failed to confirm schedules and proposed an unreasonably high budget of ₱1.2 million.

BJ concluded his statement by expressing his willingness to resolve the issue privately, having already responded to Denise’s personal messages. He also called for constructive changes to industry practices and better collaboration moving forward.

The controversy has sparked conversations about professionalism and ethical practices within the entertainment industry. Fans remain divided, with some siding with BJ for his transparency and others supporting Denise’s assertions.

BJ Pascual is widely recognized for his groundbreaking work, having collaborated with stars like Heart Evangelista, Anne Curtis, and Janine Gutierrez. Meanwhile, Denise Julia continues to grow her career as a singer-songwriter, best known for her hit single ‘Morena.’

As of this writing, both parties have yet to release additional statements, leaving fans awaiting further developments.
