Garnier unveils new Skincare Solutions Tailored for Asian Skin at the Garnier Green Academy

Garnier, the leading global beauty brand committed to sustainable beauty, unveils the Bright Complete Serum Cleanser and Vitamin C Booster Serum, two new skincare solutions fit for Asian Skin driven by Green Sciences at the Garnier Green Academy in Manila.

Asians naturally produce higher levels of melanin, increasing their likelihood of developing melasma, which commonly appears as dark spots on skin.1 Furthermore, this can be exacerbated by the tropical climate in many Asian countries, including the Philippines, where individuals are subject to more intense sun exposure and high UV levels.2

Garnier’s newest innovation, the Bright Complete Vitamin C Serum Cleanser, harnesses the power of its number one serum that is known for brightening, gentle and non-drying formula. Tested on over 200 Asian consumers, including Filipinos, it removes up to 99% of impurities while brightening skin in just one wash.3

Garnier also introduces its newly formulated Vitamin C Booster Serum that aims to tackle hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone caused by high sun exposure. Tested on over 500 Asian skin tones, including Filipino skin, this serum effectively targets dark spots and brightens skin*, even for sensitive types.

“Garnier is constantly pushing the boundaries of skincare innovation. We’re exploring new ingredients, technologies, and sustainable practices to develop the next generation of effective yet sustainable skincare solutions,” said Ritesh Tolani, Research Innovation Head at L’Oréal India.

“We are thrilled to offer Filipinos innovations that are tested on and made for Filipino skin tones and types. This brand milestone reinforces Garnier’s commitment to making quality skincare and beauty products accessible to all,” said Yassine Bakkari, Country Managing Director of L’Oréal Philippines.

Garnier Green Academy underscored Garnier’s dedication to Green Sciences, highlighting sustainable skincare solutions formulated for maximum efficacy with minimal environmental impact, specifically tailored for Asian skin types – including Filipino skin.

Garnier’s newest brand ambassador, renowned Filipina actress and singer, Maymay Entrata, introduced the new Bright Complete Vitamin C Serum Cleanser. “I believe in a simple yet effective skincare routine, and Garnier makes that so easy. The Bright Complete Vitamin C Serum Cleanser, an ideal two-in-one product, is a staple in my daily self-care ritual,” said Entrata.

As part of its commitment to offer sustainable and efficacious skincare with limited impact on the planet, Garnier has been at the forefront of sustainable solutions. In the Philippines, Garnier has achieved significant milestones in its sustainability journey. Committed to Greener Sciences, 67% of its ingredients are now bio-based or derived from abundant materials. Trailblazing the fight against plastic pollution, 65% of its packaging is made from renewable or recycled materials, and 100% of its store display and collaterals are made with eco-designed materials. In 2024, Garnier launched “Recycle for Rewards”, in partnership with Watsons Philippines, making recycling more accessible to consumers.
