Rising stars Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach continue to make waves as their chemistry in the hit series ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ captivates audiences.
One of the show’s most highly anticipated scenes featured the pair’s first on-screen kiss, which Ashtine revealed they had to practice to ensure it looked natural.
In an interview, Ashtine shared that although the kiss was just a quick smack, executing it seamlessly was a challenge.
“Kailangan kasi magmukhang accidental kiss ‘yung eksena. ‘Yun po ‘yung mahirap du’n,” she explained.
Despite the pressure, the young actress noted that the scene didn’t require too many takes, thanks to their prior rehearsals.
“Hindi naman ganoon kadami ang takes namin dahil prinaktis namin ang blocking,” she clarified, adding that they focused on scene positioning rather than the actual kiss.
The Wattpad-based series has become a major success on Viva One, with the AshDres love team (a moniker for Ashtine and Andres) drawing in fans from the Philippines and beyond.
