Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos is set to embark on a new adventure as she headlines ‘Where In Manila,’ a travel and lifestyle show exploring the vibrant food scene, culture, and hidden attractions of Manila.
The show will premiere on March 8, 2025, at 11:30 PM on GMA Network.
During the media launch held at Winford Hotel Manila, Rhian expressed her excitement about the project, revealing that she has discovered many underrated locations in Manila that even longtime residents might not know about.
“Napakadami palang activities, things to do, date places na you can go to. At tsaka ang dami palang iba-ibang food… ‘Yung mga Pinoy kasi talaga, malasa ‘yung mga gusto natin. I think, very adventurous din tayo kumain,” she said.
Rhian revealed that the show’s concept was inspired by her boyfriend, businessman, and congressional candidate Sam Verzosa (SV), who frequently shared stories about Manila’s beauty during his campaign tours.
“Nanggaling talaga ‘yung concept ng show na ‘to sa mga kuwento ni SV sa akin kapag may napuntahan na naman siyang lugar. ‘Ha? May ganyan?’ ‘Tapos, may ipapadala siyang video or picture or pagkain from that place,” she shared.
This sparked her interest in showcasing the rich history and modern attractions that make Manila a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.
“Who knew that there’s so much to be seen and celebrated just in our backyard, which is Metro Manila?”
One of the surprises from the launch was Rhian’s love for street food, which she admitted is not typically associated with her sophisticated image.
“Sorry, you’re gonna catch me talking about food a lot because that’s my obsession. I wanna taste everything and eat everything.”
She shared that among her favorite street foods is Betamax (grilled chicken blood). However, she recalled a memorable challenge from SV, where she was dared to eat turtle meat, something she struggled to accept.
“Actually, ‘yung sauce niya, masarap naman kasi parang niluto nila as a regular ulam. Hindi ko lang talaga matanggal sa isip ko kung ano siya, kasi may alaga akong ganu’n noong bata ako. But you know, memorable. I think I’ll remember it hanggang maging lola ako,” she laughed.
The show inherits the 11:30 PM Saturday slot previously occupied by ‘Dear SV’, Verzosa’s inspirational talk show. At the media launch, Sam Verzosa officially passed the baton to Rhian, expressing his confidence in her ability to bring new life to the program.
