Last year, Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina have found a “Seoulmeyt” in each other. A year before that, he proved to her that she was more than just a “Girlfriend Na Pwede Na”. There was a time “Sa Haba ng Gabi” in 2021 when they were terrorized by zombies, yet they still managed to make us laugh. That same year, Molina played “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam”, then got all emotional with Napoles in “Ikaw at Ako at Ang Ending”. This powerhouse couple has experienced so many things together since “Jowable” days, and they’re not done yet!
This April, KimJe is back on the big screen as Zuri and Andy in the movie “Un-Ex You”. Everyone is invited to see them experience more love, more laughs, and maybe a few tears while un-exing each other.
Zuri, a 35-year-old owner of a small-scale logistics company called “Movex”, grew up as a foster kid with no family permanently taking care of her. Hence, she has learned at an early age to fend for herself. At present, the only family she considers are her distant relative Bry (Kyosu Guinto), her best friend Greg (Bob Jbeili), and her employees. And now, she must act fast if she wants to have a family of her own.
Zuri is diagnosed with a rare case of premature menopause, meaning she might soon lose the ability to carry a baby. Since she has never prioritized her love life, she is now scrambling to find a decent man with whom she can have a baby and build a family. After many attempts at different methods, she finds herself with one last option: her ex, Andy.
Andy, a resident of a far-flung sitio of Halúpi, is the best personification of all that their sitio values: conservatism, taking things slowly and surely, chill attitude, contentment, and treating everyone as family. He lost his parents at a young age, but he was lovingly taken care of by his aunt and cousin.
Andy has once been brave to leave the sitio and work abroad; unfortunately, he met an accident there resulting to his permanent memory loss. He was brought back to Halúpi and has since continued living there.
Luckily for Zuri, Andy is still single. And although he has no idea who she is, she keeps appearing in his dreams. Now that Zuri is in Halúpi, she must work doubly hard and fast to make Andy fall for her again.
Join in the fun and adventure as Zuri makes new memories with Andy, under the watchful eye of his aunt Mameng (Candy Pangilinan), with some resistance from his cousin Beybeh (Vladia Disuanco). While trying to secure her future with Andy, will Zuri dare to bring up their past?
As of writing, the BRA scene drop of “Un-Ex You”, posted last Saturday already reached 20 Million views across all platforms. “Un-Ex You” is directed by RC Delos Reyes, also starring Marnie Lapus as Doc Josie. Opens April 9, 2025 in cinemas nationwide.
