During the March 15 episode of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, superstar comedian Vice Ganda delivered a timely message about the value of education—not just any education, but the right kind.

The host underscored the critical need to distinguish fact from fiction in an era where misinformation is increasingly weaponized for personal or political gain.
During the segment, Vice Ganda emphasized that ignorance isn’t the sole adversary of education. His words struck a chord, highlighting how misplaced confidence in false knowledge can undermine true learning.
Vice went on to critique the mindset of those who equate knowledge with superiority, questioning the validity of what they hold as true. Tama ba ‘yung edukasyon mo?” he remarked.
Pointing to fake news as the true nemesis of education, Vice explained how misinformation corrupts even the educated.
He warned of the broader dangers posed by such beliefs, noting their ripple effect on society.
A staunch advocate for learning, Vice Ganda has long used his platform to promote education. From funding scholarships for deserving students to leading informative segments on It’s Showtime, he continues to inspire Filipinos to seek knowledge and sharpen their ability to discern fact from fiction.
His latest remarks serve as a timely reminder of the power—and responsibility—that comes with being truly educated in today’s world.
