ABS-CBN stars and media personalities came together to pay tribute to the network’s iconic Millennium Transmitter, which lit up for the last time on Wednesday, July 9.
The emotional farewell followed Ayala Land’s acquisition of the landmark and adjacent Broadcasting Centre last February.

Among those who shared heartfelt reflections was actress Sofia Andres, who called the transmitter “more than just steel and signal,” describing it as a symbol of hope and ambition for dreamers like herself.
“For many young people, especially applicants who line up at the gate every day, it represented hope, ambition, and the belief that anything is possible. I was once that young girl, looking up, quietly whispering to myself, ‘Someday, I’ll make it too.’ And I did. Because of this place, I was inspired to dream and to keep going,” she wrote on Instagram. “Though the tower may no longer stand, the legacy remains. The dreams it sparked will live on stronger, louder, and braver.”

Actress and singer Nikki Valdez recalled being part of Star Circle Batch 4 and her unexpected audition—moments that unfolded under the shadow of the tower. “Too many memories to mention and relationships made that will forever be part of me. Today, I bid goodbye to this landmark that is a symbol of dreams turned into reality and a witness to so many battles fought. This part of ABS-CBN is MY HOME and will FOREVER be,” she wrote.
Veteran journalist Karen Davila echoed a message from ABS-CBN President Carlo Katigbak, who said during the final gathering, “Memories are not held by things but carried by people.” Davila, who has been with the network for nearly 25 years, added: “My love runs deep for this company. I have grown and become the professional I am today because of ABS-CBN’s tough terrain.”

Dimples Romana offered a poetic tribute, describing the transmitter as a “beacon” during hard times. “Our tower stood the test of time, quietly watching us all grow, dream, and persevere… It was and will always be a light that showed our colors—one that held quiet but steady magnificence.”
Meanwhile, the singers behind the 2025 version of the network’s anthem ‘Kapamilya Forever’ gathered at the rooftop of the ELJ Communications Center, capturing the skyline view of the tower. This year’s music video focused not on celebrities but on everyday Filipinos—waitresses, teachers, and vendors—embodying the heart of the Kapamilya spirit.
ABS-CBN signed the P6.24-billion deal with Ayala Land on February 27, selling 30,000 sqm of its 44,000-sqm headquarters property located along Sgt. Esguerra Avenue and Mother Ignacia Street in Quezon City. The sale comes five years after the network’s franchise was denied by the House of Representatives in 2020.
